He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelcy Joel Shelley and Pansey Peterson Shelley; his granddaughter Sonya Hilemon; and his sister Shirley Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Bailey Shelley; his children, Kathy Hilemon (Ron) of Burnsville, Gary Shelley (Susie) of Erwin and Chris Shelley (Pam) of Erwin; his sister Doris Murphy of Erwin; and his grandchildren, Jared Shelley, Aaron Shelley, Travis Shelley and Amy McKinney. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home and Chapel (720 Ohio Ave, Erwin, TN 37650). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
