He is survived by: his son Jamie Ray Brooks of Erwin; his grandson Jamie Ray Brooks, II of Jonesborough; his great grandchild Waylon Carson Brooks of Jonesborough; his siblings, Jane Ann Hilton of Erwin, Billie Patricia Booth (Patsy) of Jonesborough and Ralph Ralston Brooks of Bristol; and his close friend Nellie Riddle of Erwin.
