He was predeceased by: his parents, James Danage Hillsman and Bobbie Laverne Hall; and his granddaughter Ava Hillsman. He is survived by: his children, Mareo Kizer, Darnykka Hillsman (Larry Brown), Tashonna Hillsman, Jamesa Ralston and April Chappell; his brother Jelpher "Jeff" Hillsman (Alisha); and his grandchildren, Amareona Kizer, Mareo Kizer Jr., Kavion Cary, Drayden Appelt, Allyssa Cooksey, Autumn Hughes, Marolyn Jones, Jemareon Hillsman, Zyekobee Hillsman, Demareous Hillsman, Jymiah Ralston, Dekayviah Ralston, Kaelyn Ralston and King Ralston.
Due to the ongoing covid pandemic, mask will be required and social distancing will be required and mandated for both visitation hours and graveside service.
