He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Smith (McCarty) of Erin; and his siblings, Syble Patterson of Avis Browning, TL and Roland Smith. He is survived by: his son David Smith; his daughter-in-law Paige; his grandson Brendan Smith of Clarksville; and his sister Gale Kuykendall of Nashville.
