He was predeceased by: his father Dale Thomas Howell; and his brother Ronnie Howell. He is survived by: his mother Leota Campbell Howell; his children, David Jason Howell, Robert Valentine (Jessica), Cody Howell (Chrisy Ellickson) and Brandy Yarger (Reid); his siblings, Roger Howell, Robert Howell and Cora Ross; and his grandchildren, Ray Yager, Cole Yager, Emma Yager and Miles Yager.
