He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny William and Mildred B. Lane (Barnes); and his sister Shirley Leona Russell. He is survived by: his son John Edward Lane of Bridge Port, AL; his brothers, Howard A. Lane (Virginia) of Springfield, TN and Robert M. Lane of Vanleer, TN; and his grandchildren, John Tyler Lane and Ashley Lane.
