He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel, Sr. Land and Reba Land; his son Trampus Land; his parents-in-law, Ray and Nellie May Casteel; and his brothers-in-law, Jacky and Bobby Casteel.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Land; his siblings, Curtis Land, Hoyt (Jo Land), Elizabeth Simmons, Dianne (Steve Kinser), Pam (Romie Reid), Sarah (Lynn Hembree), Elmer Land, Teddy Land and Gene Land (Randall Land); his uncle Walter; his aunt Dena Newman of Englewood; and his close friend Tony Goodin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
