He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Houston and Adeline Casteel Torbett; his wife Frances Manery Torbett; his grandchildren, Amanda Casteel Torbett and Brandon Carroll; and his siblings, Ray Torbett, Roy Torbett, Ruel Torbett, Polly Cardin, Gladys Collake, Thelma Cooley, Joyce Seymour and Zeola Massengale.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Chism (Roy) of Englewood and Rick Torbett (Cindy) of Talladega, AL; his grandchildren, Melissa Collier (Joey), Candyce Harrill (Brian) and Brittney Atwood (Tim); his great grandchildren, Kelby Casteel, Ethan Zwierzynski, Cayden Zwierzynski, Brianna Carroll and Brent Carroll; and his great great grandchild Ella Vasquez. He is also survived by Several Nieces and Nephews.
