He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell Lee Boyd and Lois Masters Boyd; his wife Patsy Ruth Gray Boyd; and his brothers, Kenneth Boyd and Robert Boyd.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Deanna Hendrix of Douglasville, GA and Robert Gregory Hendrix of Woodland, AL; his grandchildren, Haley Hendrix-Lashus, Hope Hendrix, Louis Alan McManus and Avery McManus; his siblings, Deborah Runkles (Curtis) of Englewood, TN, Danny Boyd of Oakridge, TN and James Boyd (Edna) of Clinton, TN; his sister-in-law Barbara Boyd of Memphis, TN; and his great-nephew Adrian Runkles. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
