She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Brown and Rella Womac Brown of Riceville; her husband Gerald W. "Jerry" Carter; and her siblings, Zella Campbell, Charles, Dennis, Raymond and Quinten Brown.
She is survived by: her niece Annette (Paul McCulley) of Maryville. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
