She was predeceased by: her parents, Duff Colvin and Zella Hughs Colvin; her husband George L. Sims Sr.; and her siblings, Richard Colvin and Betty Colvin.
She is survived by: her children, Tammie Wiley (Gene), George Sims, Jr. (Amy) and Hollie Baker (Kevin); and her sister-in-law June M. Colvin. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
