She was predeceased by: her sister Jone Celeste Simmons Powers; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Lee and Mellville Thomas Newman. She is survived by: her son George Wynne Newman, Jr. of Elkton; and her siblings-in-law, Glen R. C. Powers, Joseph McConnell Newman, Amanda Lucille Hall Newman, Billie Jean Carr Newman and Debra Kay Moore Newman. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
