It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Mae Sherrell of Elkton, Tennessee, who passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Holt and Jane Holt; her siblings, Floyd, David Lee, Glen, James Robert, Milton, Howard and Vernell Thompson; her grandchildren, Chauncey Sherrell and Dwan Sherrell; her great grandchild Chabreya Campbell; and her great great grandchild Rico Ragland (Nevaeh Ragland).
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Smith (James) of Ardmore, TN, Joe Sherrell of Elkton, TN, Sadie Jones of Elkton, TN, Bobby Sherrell (Rosie) of Elkton, TN and Edith Garrison of Elkton, TN; and her brother Richard Holt of Canton, OH. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
