He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lynn "Sherry" Simmons of Elkton; his son George Newman, Jr. of Elkton; his brother Joseph McConnell Newman of Ardmore; his sisters-in-law, Deborah Newman of Florence, AL and Amanda Lucille Newman of Pensacola, FL; and his aunts, Valerie Newman and Billie Jean Carr Newman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
