He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brown and McKinney Brown of Missouri; and his siblings, Don Brown, Elmer Brown and Margaret Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Miller Brown; his children, Gary Brown (Meg) of Elizabethton and Tammy Howard of Elizabethton; his siblings, Larry Brown of Elizabethton, Norma Jean Dyer of Elizabethton and Creola Miller (Shelby) of Elizabethton; and his sister-in-law Dottie Brown of Eustis, FL.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Carter County Imagination Library, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to a charity of your choice. The family requests that food donations be made to the local food pantry.
