He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taylor Hambrick and Sarah Kathleen Vestal Hambrick; his son Billy Hambric; his grandson Zach Campbell; his siblings, Patsy Street, Berniece Guinn, Maxine Estep and Carl Hambric; and his son-in-law Kenneth Laws, Jr. (Bud).
He is survived by: his daughters, Christel Peterson (Garnie) of Erwin, Kimberly Hambric Hoefling Laws, Roseanne Bowers (Mitchell) of Elizabethton and Freda Campbell of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, A. J. Hoefling, Madison Peterson, Keaton Peterson, Tara Arnold, Victoria Cook, Ashley Tribble and Tina Fitzsimmons; his brothers, R. L. Hambric (Teresa) of Elizabethton and Donny Elwood Hambric (Linda) of North Carolina; and his nephew Phillip Taylor (Joy).
