Though Vernon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Williams and Lida Bentley Campbell; and his niece Jessica McGowan. He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Lacey (Richard) of Elizabethton, Wayne Williams (Wanda) of Elizabethton and Rick L. Williams (Pat) of Elizabethton; and his aunts, Victoria Carpenter of Ohio and Virgie Yontz of Elizabethton. He is also survived by five nephews; two nieces; and several great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
