He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Blevins and Leona Pennington Blevins; his sons, Ricky Douglas Blevins and Steven David Blevins; and his sister-in-law Judy Blevins.
He is survived by: his grandson Jayden; his wife Ruth J. Blevins; his children, Thomas Daniel Blevins of Tampa, FL and Melissa Franklin; his grandchildren, Noah Blevins, Wendy Lyons and Nikki Potter (Jon); his great grandchildren, Daniel Lyons, Daisy Hill, Arionna Potter, Lexi Potter, Jayden Potter and Jaxon Potter; and his siblings, Robert Blevins of Elizabethton and Linda Nidiffer (Ken) of Elizabethton.
