With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loretta Wilson of Elizabethton, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Hot Shot" Groce, Sr. and Lillie Lewis Groce; her husband Captain Roy Haskell Wilson; her former husband Billy Collins; her daughter Lisa Lee; and her sister Roberta Groce (Frieda).
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Wilson (Yali) and Tammy Carpenter (Joe); her grandchildren, Joseph Carpenter (Rhonda), Amanda Reece (Robert), Rachel Coontz (Gary), Jessica Glover (Brian), Ming Wilson (Maria), Brandi Haney (Michal), Dustin Wilson and Jonathan Wilson; her great grandchildren, Jozey Reece, Conner Calvert, Adalynn Reece, Benjamin Carpenter, Emma Glover, AnnaMarie Carpenter, Koralee Reece, Nora Glover, Jackson Glover, Liam Haney and Charlotte Haney; and her sisters, Carol Hardin and Mildred Isaacs.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton Or (135 Roosevelt Ave, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lynn Valley Baptist Church (1367 Broad St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Caldwell Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (1509 Blue Springs Rd, Elizabethton, TN 37643).
