We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2025, at the age of 85, Laura Judith Hunnicutt Welch of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Hunnicutt and Mabel Hunnicutt; and her sisters, Jane Raulston of Elizabethton and Margaret Ann Hunnicutt of Elizabethton. She is survived by: her daughter Judy Welch; her husband Dr. Robert Welch (Bob); her sisters, Jimmie Lou Wilcox of Kingsport and Susan Heaton (Bill) of Elizabethton; her children, James Robert (Lydia) of Norman Oklahoma, Douglas Grant (Debbie) and Laura Margaret; her brother-in-law Ed Welch; her grandchildren, Josh (Jacqulyn), Nicholas (Emma), Megan (Michael), Tyler and Laura (John); her nephews, Nicholas Welch, Tyler Welch, Keith Raulston, Jonathan Raulston, John Parsons, Michael Heaton and Joseph Heaton; and also, Jordan, Beckett, Ryker, Mavrick, Millie and Mikee. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
