He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Carl Cates; his brother Jeffrey Cates; his son Christopher Cates (Brandi); his granddaughter Martha Cates; his mother Nell Lowe Cates; his sister-in-law Regina Cates; his nephew Josh Cates (Veronica); his great-nephew Oliver; and his cousin Jean Peters (Leonard).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
