She was predeceased by: her parents, Sigmund Wegner and Olga Wegner; her siblings, Siegfried Wegner and Irma Ruf; her niece Rosemarie Frank; and her great grandchild Johnathan Nye.
She is survived by: her husband Nelse Banks; her children, Barbara Nye of Elizabethton, Shirley Hughes (James) of Elizabethton, Terry Brumit Ogg (Stan) of Elizabethton and Roger Banks (Brenda); her grandchildren, Jim Nye, Jeff Nye, Jennifer Ritchie, Clinton Hughes, Lucas Hughes, Lourean Hughes, Curtis Brumit, Chris Brumit, Jessica Brumit, Matthew Banks, Michele Banks and Austin Banks; her sister-in-law Blondhin Wegner; her nephews, Arkadij and Dieter; and also John Brumit.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM.
