He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Garland, Jr. and Ethel Peters Garland; his half-brother Dennis Kite; and his great grandchild Brittney Rankin. He is survived by: his child Donovon Garland (Melinda); his grandson Benjamin Garland; his son Scott Garland (Sara); his grandchildren, Eli Garland, Cash Agee and Angie Garland; his great grandchildren, Dustin Garland and Heather Smith; his children, Deseray, Dillan, Christopher, Johnny Ray Garland and Jaden Garland; and also, Kenzlie Smith, Carter Smith and Misty Garland.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Peters Family Cemetery (319 H Heaton Rd, Elizabethton, TN 37643).
