We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2023, at the age of 82, Charles Herbert Whittington (Elizabethton, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Whittington and Alouise Eugena Carpenter Whittington; his significant other Frances Lyons Whittington; his son David Whittington; his siblings, Elizabeth Lou Whittington Calloway, Martha Whittington Taylor and Steve Whittington; and his parents-in-law, Sweetie L. Lyons and George Lyons Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Rob Whittington and Roxanna Whittington; his grandchildren, Robin Leann Daniels (Billy) and Charles Chase Whittington (Courtney); his great grandchild Jackson Daniels; his brother Stanley Whittington (Mosella); and his sister-in-law Jean Whittington. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Sinking Creek Baptist Church building restoration fund, 2313 Elizabethton Hwy, Johnson City, TN 37601.
