With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Edra Hughes of East Ridge, Tennessee, who passed away on February 15, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hert and Nola Hert; and her husband Andrew Jack Hughes, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Andrew Jack Hughes II (Kimberly) and Debra Hughes; her grandsons, Jarrod Nunley of Chattanooga, Levi of Chattanooga and Ian Hughes of Chattanooga; and her siblings, Mary Bell of Prescott Valley, AZ., Gwen Geesey of Fort Wayne, IN., Lovenia Barker (Paul) of Snellville, GA., Ronald Hurt (Marcil) of Murphy, NC. and Paul Hert (Jan) of Campbellsville, KY.. She is also survived by her 8 nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lakewood Memory Gardens South (325 Greens Lake Rd, Rossville, GA 30741).
Memorial contributions may be made to South Seminole Baptist Church in Mildred's memory.
