We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2018, Marilou Benson Coats (East Ridge, Tennessee), born in Sinton, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Joseph K. Benson and Mary Louise Cooper Benson; her husband Fred H. Coats, Jr.; her children, Cynthia Louise Coats Workman (Tony), James B. Coats (Sylvia Yvonne), Fred J. Coats, William H. Coats (Ami), Stephen R. Coats (Lil) and Jasper H. Coats; her brothers, Joe K. Benson (Austin Texas) and Jasper William Benson (Austin Texas); and her grandchildren, Cyndy Coats Smith (Evan), Louisa Hughes Long (Martin), Christopher Coats (Jill) and Troy R. Workman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Marilou's memory to the Depression and Bi-Polar Support Alliance (DBSA).
