He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershall Lewis and Margarite Smith Lewis; his wife Wanda Fay Eaton Lewis; and his brothers, Richard Edward Lewis, Jimmy Lamar Lewis and Roy Lee Lewis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rachel Gabay (Abraham) and Amanda Lewis; his grandson Alex Teague; and his siblings, Charles Lewis (Carol), Anne Martin, Wanda Bassham (Robert) and Jane Adams (Rick).
