With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathryn Welch of East Ridge, Tennessee, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on February 13, 2022 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kathryn Welch to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Mack Welch; and her parents, Eugene Clark Bates and Lola Mae Wise Bates of Trenton, GA.. She is survived by: her sister Lou; her son Bill Welch (Beth); her sisters, Betty Bates and Louise Burchfield (Jay); her granddaughter Elle Welch-Brock (Baker) of Chattanooga; her niece Andi McDonald (Tom) of San Antonio; her nephew Jay Burchfield (Meggan) of Dallas; and her friend Ruth Macleod. She is also survived by one grandniece and three grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to one of Kathryn's favorite organizations to support - the St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
