She was predeceased by: her husband Larry McDowell; and her parents, Harvey Wingo and Mary Wingo. She is survived by: her children, Kelly McDowell and Dean McDowell. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions in June's memory be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
