She was predeceased by: her husband James Donald Waters, Sr.; her son Vincent Waters; her parents, Russell Fryar and Margaret Fryar; and her sisters, Glendolyn Wild and Martha Jo Sertel.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Waters, Jr., Lawrence Waters (Arlene), Christopher Waters (Teresa), David Waters (Gina) and Margaret Hall; her grandchildren, Eva Waters, Krista Conner (Brandon), Heather Spirz (David), Sean Waters (Michaela), Nikki DeHaven (Zach), Layna Jones (Casey), Dr. Katie Waters, Robin Waters, MaryAnn Waters, Ben Hall (Heather) and Maggie Hall; her great grandchildren, Noah, Kori Rose, Ava, Samuel, Hezekiah, Lauren, Haley, Ben, Logan, Abby and Riley; her nieces and nephews, Ken Wild (Kim), Tony Wild, Diane Parks (Steve) and Cindy Naugle (Steve); and her brother Russell Fryar (Carol). She is also survived by many other friends and extended family.

She was a longtime Bridge player with many Bridge clubs and kept score for all East Ridge Youth foundation swim meets.
