With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Houston Simmons of East Ridge, Tennessee, born in Pensacola, Florida, who passed away on November 28, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Simmons and Melody Simmons; and his son Brett Henke. He is survived by: his wife Janis; his sister-in-law Toni Griffith; his nephew George "Bubba" Henke; his siblings, Bit Simmons (Diane) and Lisa Pierce (Rick); his nephew Sean; and his nieces, Lisa and Rachelle.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in George's memory can be made to Abba's House, 5208 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343.
