He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas Gamblin, Sr. and Blanche Doak Gamblin; his sons, Jay Thomas Gamblin and Mark Lanier Gamblin; his grandson Thomas Craig Gamblin; and his sister Mary Louise Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Lanier Gamblin; his daughter-in-law Cindy Gamblin; and his sister-in-law Reita Lanier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home (404 S Moore Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37412).
