She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Roscoe and Cora Elizabeth Orr Hinkle; her husband Gene; and her daughter-in-law Jan Bales. She is survived by: her children, Judge David E. Bales of Signal Mountain and Joy Bales Ludwig (David) of Signal Mountain; her grandchildren, Chris G. Bales, Jennifer Ludwig Stone (Patrick), Stephanie Ludwig Devine (Shawn) and Kristin McBride Allen (Scott); her great grandchildren, Hamilton, Hutton Bales, Alex Allen, Rylan, Dylan Stone, Wesley and Nicholas Devine; and her sister Jo Woods. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
