She was predeceased by: her parents, Stancil Elliott and Louise Elliott (Pollard); and her siblings, Richard, Scott Elliott and Marilyn Elliott Quinn.
She is survived by: her husband Earl Louis McDowell; her children, Julie Smith (Joseph) and Eliot McDowell (Rebekah); her grandchildren, Evan Smith and Melody McDowell; and her siblings, Charles, Jim, Bo Elliott, Judye Carlisle and Theresa Patterson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
