She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bennett and Laura McDowell Toombs; and her sister Betty Underwood. She is survived by: her husband Leon Hayes; her children, Debbie Lynn Carroll, Jeffrey Leon Hayes (Vickie) and Mike Hayes (Trish); her grandchildren, Laura Ann Baggett (Tim), Dale Bennett (Roxanne), Ashley Lundy (Joseph), Hunter Hayes, Jennifer McKay (John), James Ford (Jennie), Jesse Emery (Kinsey) and Anna Hayes; and her siblings, Tommy Toombs (Barbara) and Becky Huffines (Prentice). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
