He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Lee Simmons and Maybell Johnson Simmons. He is survived by: his sister Geneva Jacobs (Barry) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his nephews, Nick Jacobs (Leah), Adam Jacobs (Kaysee) and Alan Jacobs; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler Jacobs (Allison), Ashton Jacobs, Austin Jacobs (Gabbie), Brittany Jacobs (Christian) and Chole Reasons; and also Ava Mae Jacobs.
