He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Pete" Overbey and Betty Sue Flippin Overbey; his wife Norma Overbey; his brother James "Jimmy" Overbey; and his son-in-law Scotty Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Riggs (Tony) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Vicky Rogers of Dyersburg, Lisa Fowler (Mike) of Friendship, Tennessee and Greg Owsley (Sondra) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his siblings, Johnny Overbey of Jackson, Tennessee and Brenda Overbey of Henderson, Tennessee; and his sister-in-law Mary Overbey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
