He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Shelton and Easter Lindsey Shelton; his wife Gayle Blackburn Shelton; his daughter Luann Shelton; and his sister Thressa Hutcheson.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Shelton Hooper (Lynn) of Newbern, TN, Mona Carlisle of Chattanooga, TN, Sandy Kirk of Chattanooga, TN, Wayde Shelton (Deanna) of Ringo, GA and Stan Shelton (Irene) of Ridgely, TN; and his sister Wanda Shelton Howell of Hopkinsville, KY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Haven Cemetery.
