She was predeceased by: her parents, Clydie Cates and Sarah Katherine Cates; her husband Arnold Hilliard; and her sister Nina Bowie. She is survived by: her children, Rex Hilliard and Carla Coffman; and her siblings, Danny Cates and Judy Newman. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
