He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe E. Kaplan and Violet Sturdivant Kaplan; his daughter Lesli Kaplan; and his grandson David King. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Kaplan; his daughter Libby King; his stepchildren, Gregory Yeiter (Kim) and Stacy Stewart (Chris); his nieces, Jackie Wright Binkley and Melissa Wright; his grandchildren, Austin King, Andi Bell, Alee, Katie and Natalie Jones; and his great grandchildren, Savannah King and Layla Cates.
