With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cathy Mae Fortner of Dyersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on September 15, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Doyle Fortner and May Helen Stevens Fortner; and her siblings, Nora Ann Holcomb, Debra Gail Middleton and Jerry Lynn Fortner.
She is survived by: her sons, Alvin Wayne Walls, Jr. (Cindy) of Finley, Dewayne Edward Walls (Stacy) of Newbern and Keith Carter Walls (Tina) of Newbern; her brothers, Charles Edward Fortner (Pat) of Chester Virginia and Mark Elliott Fortner (Peggy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her siblings-in-law, Bud Middleton of Dyersburg, Debbie Fortner of Newbern and Peggy Fortner; and her nephew Blake Fortner (Emily). She is also survived by "Granny Cat" to her nineteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
