With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry Dewayne Childress Sr. of Dyersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Thomas and Gola Marie Sorrell Childress; and his brother Tony Ray Childress. He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Dilbeck (Fred) of Portage, IN and Barry Childress, Jr. (Kelly) of Madison, AL; and his siblings, Barbara Eve Arndt of Stephenville, TX, Marsha Kay Childress Brooks (Gary) of Salem, IN and Thomas Glenn Childress (Kenna) of Schererville, IN. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
