She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Raymond and Eva Lee Rogers McDowell; her husband Loyd Edward Speer; her son Charles Speer; her sisters, Joyce Tweedy and Diana Jo Vanadda; her grandmother Jean Hubbard; and her brothers, James McDowell, Ray McDowell, Larry McDowell and Wayne McDowell.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Davis, Karen Sue McCarson, Vickie Snow, Peggy Otte, David Speer and Steve Speer. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and sixteen great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Karnes and Son Funeral Home (669 S Trenton St, Rutherford, TN 38369). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
