He is survived by: his wife Jana Lee McDaniel Ellis; his children, Hamilton Wesley Ellis and Georgia Lee Ells; his grandson Robert Lee Ellis; and his sister Julie Ellis Clark of Charlotte. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family.
