He was predeceased by: his father Glynn Cooper; his daughter Stacey Lynn Petty; and his siblings, Mike Cooper and Sherry Elliott. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Cooper (Halliburton); his wife Janice Cooper; his children, Brian Cooper and Candice Marie Cooper Williams; his siblings, Jeff Cooper and Sissy Cooper Davis; and his grandchildren, Peyton Cooper, Emily Cooper, Landon Cooper, Raven Sico, Lacey Zarecor, Harley Petty, Gauge Emery and Julie Bryant. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
