She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd McIlwain and Mary Eddlemon (Needham); her husband Lindell Cardwell; and her brother Billy Eddlemon. She is survived by: her sons, Mike Cardwell (Julia) and Keith Cardwell (Jan); her grandchildren, Brooke Carson (Jamie), Paige Hayes (Jeffery), Kylie Cardwell and KJ Cardwell; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon Hayes, Tripp Hayes, Ellie Grace Carson and Lizzie Kate Carson.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made in Bettye's honor to the Bells Chapel Cemetery Fund.
