He was predeceased by: his sister Deborah Lynn Dishman; and his grandparents, Tess, Margie Dishman and Betty Skyles. He is survived by: his children, Carly Dishman of Cleveland, TN and William Doyle "D. J."; his granddaughter Stella Rose Dishman; his parents, Eddie Dishman and Carlotta Dishman; and his brother Charles Dishman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to American Diabetes Association or the Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network.
