He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Narramore Rector; his parents, John Rector and Edith Rector; and his sister Barbara Jane Snyder. He is survived by: his daughters, Reba Sanders and April Thurman (Todd); his grandchildren, Hayley Thurman, Garrett Thurman (Danielle), Lexington of Park, MD and Kate Sanders; his great grandchildren, Kennedy and Lincoln Thurman; and his siblings, Juanita Owensby and Johnny Rector (Cheryl). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in his memory to Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network.
