He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lee Higdon; his children, Billie Sue Layne and Pete Higdon; and his grandson Richard Aaron Layne. He is survived by: his children, Edwina Raines (Joe) and Bobby Higdon (Tennie) of Dunlap; and his sister Babe Henry. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
