He was predeceased by: his parents, Spiller Griffin and Audrey Griffin; and his siblings, Glenn, Perry "Dobby", Don Griffin, Clovella Lee and Jo Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Griffin; his children, Deonna Griffin of Dunlap, April Zimmerman (Billy "Pudge") of Dunlap, Earl Eames (Carol) and Ned Eames (Carron); his stepchildren, Melissa Reagan of Rainsville, AL, Dewayne McCullough of Jacksonvlle, FL and Dale McCullough; his grandsons, Kevin, Jeremy, Jason Eames, Alex Stewart and Zachary Zimmerman; his stepgrandchildren, Jason, Laura, Kate and Nicholas McCullough; his great grandchildren, Coy "Eames" Gaither, Ella, Noah, Erin and Rileigh Eames; and his sister Sharon Culpepper of New Hope, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
